IK HOU VAN MENSEN
This is a very personal project I made in honor of my grandmother, who passed away. She used to be a nurse, loved organizing cultural activities, and believed in the power of small gestures to thank people.
When she was on her deathbed, I asked if she had any wisdom to share. She simply said, “I love people.”
I made a drawing of her and added that phrase, then silkscreen printed it in her signature lipstick color—raspberry pink. She saw the print shortly before she died.
I handed it out at the funeral, and the drawing was also used for the funeral announcement.
I keep her message close to heart. Like her, I love people—and I try to understand, thank, and empathize with others in the way she always did.
